Alumni Champs!!!!

I just got done playing 4 games of basketball in a 5 hour span. I played in the Alumni basketball tournament at the High School today. I was asked to play with the class of 2002 because my class split up. Our first game we beat the 2007 class 102-54. After pool pay we ended up with the two seed in our bracket. We played the one seed in the other division which considered themselves the 03-07 All Stars. They were a huge team with a ton of great players. I had my best game vs them, and we won by 10 to advance to the championship round. We meet the class of 2005 in the finals. This was the team that was one game away from state. We came out hitting and didn't let up. We had a 20 point lead with 4 minutes left, but I guess we decided we didn't want to play anymore. They went on a 12-0 run, and brought the game within 8. We hit our free throws at the end to win by 10. I wish I had pictures to add to add to the blog. We took a team picture at the end, so it may be put in the paper. If so, I'll post the photo later.

7 days away!!

7 days from now I'll be sitting on the beach in St. Petersburg, Florida (with a fruity drink in hand!). The crew traveling will be Mom, Dad, Chris, Kelly, Kevin, Jaimie, Nolan and Jalyn. We are staying at a 4 star resort on St Pete Beach. The weather looks like it will be 70-75 degrees most of the week. Anything is better than below zero and 8 inches of snow we're receiving now!!! This will be the first winter that I have time away from the frozen tundra. In January I'll be attending another gay basketball tournament in San Diego!!! I'm hoping this Florida trip will knock some sense into my family, and show them there is life outside of the lame state of Wisconsin! :-)
