Pregnant Chicks Should be Fair Game

My nieces and nephews have been itching to go sledding for a while now. The weather this past weekend was somewhat tolerable, so we decided to take them sledding at Coulee Golf Course. The crew that went consisted of Mom, Dad, Pat, Debbie, Joe, Jamie, Jayln, Justice, Chris, Kelly and myself. You would think that the kids had the best time, but Chris and I had a blast starting a snowball fight. It seemed like my sister Jamie, the little kids, and my mom were the target for most of our snowballs, mainly because the game would be over if we hit our dad with a snowball. And someone told me it's not politically correct to throw a snowball at a pregnant chick (my sister-in-law). I say everyone is fair game, but I behaved (besides pelting my mom in the back of the neck with a snowball). Below are pictures on the sledding hill:

I'm interested to hear what everyone else did this weekend. So please make a post on your own blog or in the comment section as to what you did this weekend (add pictures if possible). If I feel you had the best weekend, I will put your blog link in my next post!!

Take a Hike

One of the most relaxing hobbies of mine is getting outdoors and "taking a hike". This winter has been horrible to say the least. Kinda sad when 30 degrees feels like a heat wave. So my mom, brother Chris, and brother's "friend" Ashley decided to take advantage of one of these scorching 30 degree days, and go hiking at Hixon Forest. Surprisingly, it was a very busy day at the hill with cross country skiers and hikers. Chris and I kept ourselves occupied by starting a snowball throwing contest. Whoever's snowball was closest to the selected tree won. Chris claimed to hit the right target every time after he threw the snowball into the the thick forest. Kinda suspicious when he just said i'm going for "that tree", but maybe he's the next Brett Favre? That game didn't last long, because I think Chris was cheating and I didn't bring gloves (BurrrZerrrs). I'm getting very excited for spring to roll around so I can hike on a regular basis.

Thumbs Up or Down?

This past weekend I got a haircut from my sister Jamie. She does a great job, and the best thing is, it's free! I guess I owe her a dinner, huh? I go through phases with my hair. When it's short I want it long, and when it's long I want it short. Well this weekend I decided to buzz most of it off. Below I posted a picture of my hair both before and after. I would like to hear your opinions on which hairstyle you like best. Trust me, you won't hurt my feelings (that much). So post a comment telling me if you like my hair longer or shorter.

Before
(creepy..I know)

After
(thumbs up or down?...and yes I have a lot of time on my hands)

Gravel WHO?!?!

With the election talks heating up, I figured I would do a post about the candidates. I recently received an email with a link that had me take a survey on which candidates had the same beliefs as myself. After the survey is complete, it ranks the candidates in order by who I agree with the most. The questions include my opinion on Iraq, Immigration, Taxes, Stem-Cell Research, Health Care, Abortion, Social Security, Line-Item Veto, Energy, Gay Marriage, Death Penalty, Gun Control, Environment, and Education. The quiz only takes a few minutes, and I encourage all of you to take it! It's a great way to see which candidate you agree with most. After taking this quiz, post a comment on who your top 3 were. This doesn't have to be who you are voting for. Just interesting to see what everyone else came up with. My top 3 included:

1. Mike Gravel

2. Barack Obama

3. Hillary Clinton

Now I have no intention of voting for Mike Gravel mainly because I'VE NEVER HEARD OF HIM!!!!! lol. I did some research to see that he is only on the ballot in 20 states. Maybe that's why I've never heard of him?? But take the quiz for fun, and inform yourself on the candidates positions at the same time. You might find out (like I did) that you have nothing in common with Mike Huckabee!

enjoy and remember to post your top 3!

Ballin!!

Wednesday night I had my West Salem basketball league. So far I haven't play well in this league, so I was hoping to get my game back on track. Before the game Larry and I went to the YMCA to shoot around. We talked about how I should be more aggressive, because that will open more looks for others. I feel our talk and the shoot around really helped. I was aggressive when it came to shooting and taking it to the hole. I was pleased with the way I played, and the way our team played. We won 2 out of the 3 games (1's and 2's up to 11). It should of been 3 out of 3 if you ask me, but one of their guys hit four 3's in the last game. But I was happy because it seemed as if I got my game back! Hopefully I can continue that next week!

Welcome

Welcome and thank you for checking out my blog. The reason I'm starting a blog is mainly for my Seminar in Marketing class, but also to keep family and friends (and stalkers) informed on my life. I hope you enjoy!
